The 2024–25 season was a remarkable journey. The Shakers clinched the North West Counties Premier Division title and secured promotion to the Northern Premier League West Division.
Under the guidance of manager Dave McNabb, the team amassed 109 points, boasting an impressive record of 33 wins, 10 draws, and just 3 losses. The Shakers showcased a potent attack, netting 131 goals while conceding only 49.
In cup competitions, we advanced to the Fourth Qualifying Round of the FA Cup, delivering memorable performances, including a commanding 3–0 victory over Blyth Spartans.
The season culminated in a decisive 4–0 win against Burscough on April 19th, in front of a jubilant crowd of 8,719 at Gigg Lane, sealing the club’s promotion and marking a triumphant return to higher-tier football.
