We are delighted to announce the signing of left back Will Calligan from Stockport Town.
The 22-year-old came through the ranks at Barnsley starting at the age of 13, he signed on as a scholar in 2018.
Since then Will has had a spell at Bradford Park Avenue before moving onto Stockport Town where he played against us in a mid season friendly last term.
He’s equally adept at playing at full-back or on the wing.
Dave McNabb had the following to say about the exciting young prospect:
“Will is an explosive left sided player capable of playing Left back, Left wing back or Left wing.
Quick and direct and loves to make lung bursting runs down the left hand side. His delivery from wide areas is one of his main assets. Aggressive defensively and brilliant defending 1v1.”
