We are delighted to confirm the signing of midfielder Dean Pinnington from FC Isle of Man.

The Manx-born 21-year-old started his career at Wolves before moving to Wigan. Aged 10, Pinnington was invited to play at the Isle of Man Centre of Excellence, and he went on to represent the island as a junior from the age of 10 to 15.

He was asked to attend a trial at Everton when he was 12, before an opportunity arose for with Wolves, a club he then spent three and a half years with.

After leaving the Midlands, he joined Wigan he helped the club become U18 Professional Development League National Champions. He signed a pro deal in July 2021

Dean left the DW Stadium and went back home and joined FC Isle of Man where this season he’s made 30 appearances, notching up seven goals. His last appearance for the Ravens was against Bury at The Bowl last month.

We asked Dave McNabb about his new signing and he said the following:

Really please to get Dean on board he’s a player we know a lot about having played at Wolves and Wigan in his youth career. I was also very impressed with him when we played the Isle of Man. A great addition to ensure we have very strong options going into the final straight of the season

Subject to league approval Dean will be available for today’s trip to Irlam.
