We are delighted to announce that commanding centre back Macauley Wilson has committed to Dave McNabb’s Shakers for the 2024/25 season.
The former Manchester United and Blackpool youth prospect joins us following a six year stint at Bamber Bridge where he was club captain.
During his career Macauley has also previously spent time on loan at National League side AFC Fylde.
Described as a fearless leader who is always ready to step up when required it’s no doubt that Macauley makes an excellent and exciting addition for the coming season.
We caught up with Dave McNabb who had the following to say about his new signing:
“Macauley is a top quality centre half. Strong, aggressive and fantastical defensively. Very comfortable on the ball with the capability to build the game and play forward passes to help start attacks.
Macca has a lot of experience, he’s a leader on the pitch and an excellent communicator. The way he reads the game is exceptional and his winning mentality is infectious.”
