2024/25 Season: Gigg Lane Car Park Policy

Table of Contents

As the new season draws closer we wanted to take the opportunity to update you with regards to changes we are making to matchday car parking.

We currently have 182 spaces available on a matchday, the majority have these are taken up by matchday squads and staff, disabled people / blue badge holders, some volunteers, opposition board members and also some hospitality ticket holders.

We have one of the biggest car parks in the division and having a car park of this size presents many operational challenges. This involves producing a booking-in process, and then managing it on the day as well, which has been found to be unsustainable for the club to maintain from its volunteer base in this particular case.

As a result the following changes will be made for the upcoming season:

  • Disabled Supporters: 30 spaces will be allocated for blue badge holders/disabled. Once having secured one of these spaces, supporters will then be required to attend the club reception (during opening hours) to present their blue badge and collect a pass. Tickets can now be secured below:
  • Visiting Board Members, Players & Officials: 52 spaces will be allocated to players and officials and boards.

The remaining spaces will be on a first-come, first-served basis charged at £5 on the gate at Gigg Lane. This will be CASH ONLY on the day, and we would ask that were possible you have correct money.

This decision has not been taken lightly but saves many hours from an operational perspective, whilst also driving further revenues for the club to invest in fan-related activities.

For all other supporters accessing Gigg Lane by car on matchdays, parking will be available in the residential areas surrounding Gigg Lane (as shown below).

Supporters are reminded to be respectful and considerate of the local residents at all times, as well as being mindful of and adhering to the parking permit measures in place in close proximity to the ground.

Be #ShakersTogether, Be #PartOfIt, Be #BuryFC for 2024/25.
